Rahu
Rahu is a chaya graha — a shadow planet, the north lunar node, with no physical body — and it governs ambition, obsession, foreign lands and travel, technology, sudden gains and equally sudden confusion. It amplifies whatever it touches without discrimination, which is why Rahu periods so often bring both rapid rise and abrupt reversal. Rahu is central to Kala Sarpa dosham, when all seven grahas fall between Rahu and Ketu. The temple is Naganathaswamy Temple at Thirunageswaram near Kumbakonam, celebrated for the milk abhishekam that is seen to turn blue as it is poured over the Rahu idol during Rahu Kalam. Rahu is considered strong in Mithunam and Kumbam and always moves in retrograde motion.
