Ketu

Ketu is the south lunar node and Rahu’s counterpart, the second shadow planet, and where Rahu grasps, Ketu releases. It governs detachment, spirituality, past-life merit, sudden loss, healing arts and occult knowledge, and it is the karaka of moksha — liberation. Ketu periods often coincide with a loosening of worldly attachment, unexpected endings, or a turn toward religious and healing practice. The temple is Naganathaswamy Temple at Keezhaperumpallam near Poompuhar, where Ketu is depicted with a serpent body worshipping Siva. Ketu is considered strong in Dhanusu and Meenam, always moves in retrograde motion, and sits exactly opposite Rahu in every chart.
